In this episode, Aaron visits House of Funk Brewing in North Vancouver, BC.
There is a spot in the Lower Mainland that has seen a major shift to an entertainment district in recent years, and that place is located in North Vancouver, located on the traditional unceded territories of the Squamish and Tsleil-Waututh.
House of Funk Brewing opened its doors a little over two years ago after seeing a gap in the British Columbia market. They have seen major growth and have even developed a sister brand, House of Lager.
Aaron sat down with owner Darren Hollett.
Things Aaron learned:
- Darren saw that funky beers weren’t a main focus of a brewery in Vancouver.
- They’ve started a sub-brand called “House of Lager.”
- House of Funk also has a coffee program.
