Three new releases from Cannery Brewing

Babe Brew Mango Milkshake IPA (8.5% ABV | 30 IBU)

Funds raised from the Beer Babe Brews are collected and awarded in the form of grants. Grants are awarded to women who work in the beer industry and are trying to improve their beer business.

This Mango Milkshake IPA was brewed with barley, oats, wheat, vanilla, and lactose (milk sugar). Mango puree from Pacific Coast Fruit Products was then added during secondary fermentation. It was hopped with Simcoe and Citra hops from Hops Connect Canada. Riptide Raspberry Nitro Sour (5.2% ABV | 18 IBU) from Copper Brewing

The folks at Copper Brewing set out to brew a beer that would make anyone’s Instagram followers jealous—brilliantly blue and irresistibly photogenic. But then reality crashed the party. It turns out that mixing bright blue raspberry with golden beer doesn’t give you electric blue—it gives you teal. Who knew basic colour theory had such strong opinions about beer? Luckily, this unexpected detour led to Riptide Raspberry Nitro Sour: tart raspberry flavour, velvety nitro smoothness, and a colour that’s either very hip or deeply confused. Either way, it’s delicious. Come ride the teal wave—you can explain it to your followers later!

Peninsula Pale (5%) ABV

Peninsula Pale is brewed with local malts from Field Five Farms on the Saanich Peninsula, a sixth-generation family farm about 45 minutes from the brewery. They grow their own barley and produce their own malt on-site, which gives the brewers at Lighthouse a direct farm-to-pint connection that’s both rare and meaningful. This vibrant brew features a blend of peach and floral hop notes with a complex malt character. When you pick up this beer, you’re not just getting something easy-drinking and crisp — you’re choosing a beer that supports real people, real farms, and real craft.

“Now more than ever, supporting Canadian agriculture and reducing reliance on long supply chains matters. Brewing with Field Five means we’re supporting BC farmers, reducing our footprint, and staying connected to the people and land around us. That matters to us — and we think it makes the beer taste even better.” – Lighthouse Brewing
