Sip your way along the Greater Victoria Ale Trail in November for a chance to win a Grand Prize package!

Victoria has been pouring craft beer longer than just about anywhere in Canada. Spinnakers opened the country’s first brewpub here in 1984, and the community that grew up around it now runs from the Upper Harbour out to the Saanich Peninsula, Metchosin and Sooke.

November suits this trail well. The taprooms are warm, the winter seasonals are landing on tap lists, and there’s always a stool open for one more. Grab a passport, round up a few friends and see how many stamps you can collect this month.

How to experience the Greater Victoria Ale Trail

Our handy itinerary suggests a variety of ways to experience the Greater Victoria Ale Trail during the tasting passport promotion.

Once the cradle of the “craft beer revolution,” BC’s capital city is now home to some of the country’s best restaurants, breweries and cideries, each with its own style and approach, along with excellent tap houses, quality liquor stores and plenty of restaurants with strong beer menus.

A good place to start is The Drake Eatery on November 10, when the Greater Victoria Ale Trail Tap Showcase brings beers from across the trail together under one roof  (stay tuned for more details). Try a few, grab your passport and plan where to go next. So, sip, savour, and enjoy everything the Greater Victoria Ale Trail has to offer.
