Experience the North Shore Ale Trail in November for a chance to win a Grand Prize package!

Vancouver’s North Shore is where the city meets the mountains, with forests, trails and spectacular views stretching from sea to sky. It’s a year-round playground for outdoor adventure, and the perfect place to wind down with a tasting adventure through the North Shore’s welcoming craft brewery community, where every taproom has its own distinct style, story and flavour.

Plenty of stops sit within a few blocks of each other around the Shipyards and Lower Lonsdale, a short walk from the SeaBus. It’s easy to collect a handful of stamps in one afternoon and leave the car at home.

How to experience the North Shore Ale Trail

Our handy itinerary suggests a variety of ways to experience Vancouver’s North Shore Ale Trail during the tasting passport promotion.

The North Shore was there at the very start of BC’s craft beer story: Horseshoe Bay Brewing opened as Canada’s

first microbrewery in 1982. Today, that legacy carries on in a close-knit community of breweries and distilleries, each pouring with its own style, and many of them just steps apart in the Shipyards District at Lower Lonsdale.

The timing works in your favour, too. Vancouver’s North Shore Craft Beer Festival runs October 30 to November 12, with special events every day (excluding Remembrance Day, November 11), so the first two weeks of the passport come with plenty of extra reasons to head out. Pair your stamps with a festival event, a forest walk or a wander through Lonsdale Quay Market. So, sip, savour, and enjoy everything Vancouver’s North Shore Ale Trail has to offer.
