I’ve travelled to a top holiday destination in British Columbia. Whistler is known for its skiing, but it is also home to a lot of fantastic summer and shoulder-season activities. Not to mention, great craft beer. I spoke with brewer Derrick Franche at High Mountain Brewing at the BrewHouse and owner/brewer Kevin Winter at Coast Mountain Brewing.
Some highlights:
- Derrick was offered the job and moved to Whistler for his current position.
- Kevin and his wife have spent most of their lives in Whistler so they wanted to set up in their local community.
- Derrick said the beer sells so fast in the summer he can actually see the level in the tank dropping.
