Vancouver’s No. 1 beer-league draught pick.
They could make a movie about Bomber Brewing: three long-time friends and hockey team-mates who realize the dream of opening their own brewery so they can deliver more flavour to post-game locker-room six-packs across Canada. COO Don Farion, creative director Cam Andrews and head brewer Blair Calibaba are the three amigos in question, and together they’ve forged a formidable forward line in their bid to score better beer for Vancouver and beyond. Besides the eye-catching, jersey-like logo and stripes of the packaging, Bomber keeps the hockey theme subtle. Calibaba’s beer can be anything but, with a powerful imperial stout, a bright, tart passionfruit ale and a robust Märzen among his most popular releases. The brewery is situated on the popular Union-Adanac bikeway, meaning its tasting room is a popular spot for another active demographic: The bike racks outside are often full and many cyclists make use of the free
beer air pump before stepping inside for a glass or a growler fill.
