A fun, unpretentious, award-winning brewery in the heart of East Van.
Named in cheeky reference to founder Steve Forsyth’s former business, the legendary Railway Club in downtown Vancouver, Off the Rail is an unpretentious, intimate and welcoming brewery happily following its own track in the city’s busy scene. The compact second-storey tasting room offers a great vantage point to watch cyclists zip past on the busy Adanac cycle route – though many of them also stop in here for a sip – while the approachable and knowledgeable staff keep the atmosphere friendly and fun.
You’ll find a variety of beer styles: from classics that established their reputation for quality beers to the latest trend, lagers and pilsners to IPAs and sours. Seasonal offerings like their Cucumber Pilsner in summer, or the fall/winter Rauchbier, as well as small batch brews, keep the menu fresh – there’s a beer here for every palate. Off the Rail’s mission is to provide “an uncompromising taste experience”, and their multiple Canadian Brewing Award wins show that they’re succeeding.
Off the Rail is a community gathering place, where customers can feel at home and there’s always something fun happening. Watch their spaces for live music, comedy nights, regularly changing art displays and more.
