Abandoned Rail Brewing Co
Abandoned Rail Brewing is a farm, a brewery, and a place you’ll want to linger for a while. They’re first-generation farmers, and their brewery grew out of their love for this piece of the Okanagan and everything that can be grown here. The farm is home to barley and hops, along with golden plums, Italian prune plums, cherries, peaches, apricots, blackberries, apples and Gewurztraminer grapes. Some of those ingredients find their way into the beers, while others simply make the farm what it is – a constantly changing backdrop to life at the brewery.
There’s something pretty special about sitting on the patio with a beer in your hand, looking out over the fields, orchards, mountains, vineyards and Okanagan Lake, knowing that the farm around you is part of the story behind the place. You are invited to follow the Kettle Valley Rail Trail out to the brewery, wander the farm, take in the views and settle in for a pint. Come for the beer and pizza, but stay awhile and experience the farm, the view and a little piece of what makes the Okanagan so special to them.
