Points

The app is gamified. Users can search for locations close to them and collect points when visiting that location.

Simply head to your favourite brewery, buy a beer and check-in.  Ten points are awarded per check-in.

Breweries and businesses also have the option to offer bonus points, available for collection during events or special promotions.

Rewards

Accumulated points can be redeemed for merchandise or discounts at participating rewards locations. The number of points required for a reward will vary by brewery and also depends on the reward being offered. For example:

  • Patina Brewing (North of the Fraser Ale Trail): Redeem 50 points for 10% off or 100 points for 15% off of select merchandise
  • Rusted Rake Brewing (Vancouver Island Ale Trail Part II): Redeem 100 points for 20% off merchandise
  • Ucluelet Brewing (Vancouver Island Ale Trail Part II): Redeem 100 points for 15% off merch OR a free pretzel when you buy a pint
  • Connector Brewing (Kelowna and West Kelowna Ale Trail): Redeem 100 points for a free branded Growler

Already a User in the old app? Follow these instructions to claim your account in the new app.

The BC Ale Trail app has been updated and we have some important steps to guide you though for reclaiming your account in the new app. You have been logged out of your account in the old app and the old password will no longer work. Once you’ve downloaded the latest version of the app, you will be a NEW USER for the purpose of logging in for the first time. Here’s how it works:

  1. Once you close this message select CREATE ACCOUNT. This seems counterintuitive but as mentioned, to this app you are NEW.
  2. Use your old account’s email address when creating the new account and set a new password. Using the same email address as used in the old app will automatically ensure your points are carried over to the new app. If you don’t see them immediately, please give it a few hours and if they still don’t show up, email us support@tourismo.co
  3. An email verification (labelled BC Ale Trail) will be sent to confirm your new password. Check your SPAM if it’s not there within a few minutes.
  4. Once you’ve verified your new password, close the app and reopen it. Then you’re set!

*If you are unsure of the old email or you no longer have access to it, contact support@tourismo.co and we can help you.
