Join Kwantlen Polytechnic University (KPU) Brewing for Essentials of Beer Tasting and Serving, one of three new continuing education courses taught by Alek Egi, an instructor, brewer and sensory expert. This course will cover the essentials of beer evaluation, serving and presentation, helping you appreciate and articulate every nuance of a pint.
Ideal for folks working in tasting rooms, breweries, bars, restaurants or anyone simply curious about beer, this course consists of seven segments exploring a variety of topics, including:
- Sensory basics and evaluation
- Types of sensory analysis testing
- Developing your beer flavour vocabulary
- How to develop a basic sensory program
- Introduction to beer styles from around the world
- Proper beer presentation and serving
- Beer and food pairings
- And more!
