$35The Nanaimo Craft Beer Society is excited to kick off Nanaimo Craft Beer Week 2022 with an ancient ales-inspired event hosted by Dr. Marie Hopwood, Vancouver Island University Department of Anthropology, and Dave Paul, Brewer, Loveshack Libations.
Sample libations crafted from recipes of the past and learn about the archaeology behind the brews. Light appetizers will also be provided. Please note that you must be 19+ to attend.
Tickets are $35 (plus a $0.88 service fee) and include:
-1 taster glass
-Samples of six ancient-inspired ales
-Presentations about the archaeology behind the beers by VIU Professor of Archaeology (Anthropology) Dr. Marie Hopwood, VIU alumni and students, and the Owner/Brewer of LoveShack Libations, Dave Paul
-Light appetizers catered by VIU
-1 year membership to the Nanaimo Craft Beer Society

This event is located in the Royal Arbutus Room at Vancouver Island University (Nanaimo campus, Building 300, Room 401). Enter the Upper Cafeteria through the main doors and follow the upward steps beside the left wall; the Royal Arbutus Room sits above the cafeteria.
Visit https://www.viu.ca/map and click on Parking Map for the best parking options. Pay parking is in effect in all lots until 8 p.m. As well, the city bus loop is right by the Upper Cafeteria, so please consider travelling by public transit.
